Flutter vs Native for a Business App
For Indonesian business apps — booking, field reports, membership — Flutter is enough in year one. Native is required when you already measured an OS bottleneck, not when a pitch deck says “native” to sound expensive.
Flutter
One codebase, Android and iOS, shorter time to store. Fits an 8–12 screen MVP. That is why our Rp49m floor uses Flutter.
Native (Kotlin + Swift)
Two teams, two bug lists, two stores. It makes sense for heavy camera, BLE, or measured frame budgets. That is a separate quote, not a free upgrade from Flutter.
What must stay yours
Play Console and Apple Developer accounts, source, and listings. A vendor who keeps the store account is the same pattern as a company-profile domain not in your name.
